This position is responsible for assisting International Purchasing Agent with our A-T Controls offshore manufacturing partners.


  • Prepare purchase orders from material requisitions generated by International Purchasing Agent via SAGE 100 software. Each purchase order will be checked against the factories pro forma invoice to ensure product, pricing and delivery requirements match the purchase order.
  • Communicate when necessary with freight forwarders to ensure product flows smoothly from the factory to both the Cincinnati and Houston warehouses.
  • Update internal reports with any changes to delivery dates and communicate changes to other departments as necessary.
  • This position will receive all imported product into SAGE 100 upon arrival into the Cincinnati or Houston warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or instructed.


  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including work, excel and outlook
  • Strong organization skills

Job Functions

This individual is responsible for covering a specified sales territory including OEM Accounts and Distribution. Coordination and qualification of those accounts is done with the VP of Sales.  Growing sales in the assigned territory is the primary job responsibility.

Responsibilities | Sales Coverage

  • Makes sales calls on and with distribution assigned to a marketing area. 
  • Makes recommendations regarding distribution for marketing areas.
  • Makes sales calls on OEM and direct house accounts.
  • Gets involved with any sales related issue where needed and directed in the field territory.
  • Assists in expediting and other coordinative issues to all accounts in the territory.
  • Advise Management of unique, large or difficult opportunities and quotations.
  • Interfaces with Operations Manager to assist in various facets of order processing as necessary.
  • Offer alternate solutions to customers depending on application and product availability.
  • Increase order value and general revenue by actively offering accessories and additional products and services during the course of communication with customers.
  • Communicates with and updates management on weekly activity, planning and significant accounts/events in the territory.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Meet annual training requirements per A-T Controls ISO 9001: 2000 quality program
  • Working knowledge of the ball valve and actuator industry
