These rugged multi-purpose actuators are the compliment to the already trusted THD Series. The compact design offers options to address your quarter turn torque requirements. The SY Series is a reliable way to automate quarter turn valves and provides options for accessory mounting and manual override operation. The design is modular and allows for easy rotation choices. Simply flip the actuator to achieve clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW) operation. This design features a supported scotch yoke which is stabilized by significant body bearings for minimal wear. Various spring and pressure options allow you to achieve the torque balance you need. Increased efficiencies in this design give you the most actuator for the money. For many applications, steel is just better. These small steel scotch yoke actuators, compared to aluminum, provide better corrosion resistance in harsh environments such as marine salt water and petro-chemical applications. TA-Luft: Low Emissions Ball Valves

In March of 2007 A-T Controls received TA-Luft Low Emission certification for broad range of valves with a patented Pyramidal Stem Seal system. At that time fourteen different TRIAC series valves with the live-loaded packing system passed the TA-Luft standard that was established by the German TUV agency (Technischer Uberwachungs-Verein). Considered the world's most stringent standard on valve emissions, TU-Luft testing requires less than 1 ppm leakage through the valve stem. Fugitive valve emissions are a major environmental and economic issue for process industries. TRIAC valves can reduce fugitive emissions and lost product by 99% or more compared to legacy control valves. A-T is excited to offer such a range of valve choices to help industries in their drives to reduce emissions. The TRIAC TA-Luft certified valves employ a unique live-loaded pyramidal stem packing system. This features a patented 45° pyramidal stem and stem seal with Belleville washers and PTFE chevron style stem packing, protecting against stem leaks experienced with ordinary ball valves. The TRIAC valves also feature a patented automation pad that allows direct mounting of ISO5211-compliant actuators to eliminate the cost and fabrication of special couplings or brackets. A-T Control's product literature identifies each valve model carrying the TA-Luft certification with a green logo.

The THD series is designed to operate ball, butterfly, plug valves, dampers or any device that requires a quarter-turn movement for on-off or throttling service. Our standard offering is the symmetrical design yoke that delivers maximum torque at both ends of the 90º cycle. The square slide bearing with guide bar provides high cycle life and smooth stroke while minimizing wear points. Also available is a canted yoke design, which is ideal for butterfly valves in sizes C11 and larger. As with all TRIAC® actuators, our THD series is accompanied by a complete line of accessories, including jackscrew and hydraulic overrides, limit switches, solenoids and positioners. A-T Controls also offers complete mounting hardware to integrate our actuators with any quarter-turn valve, damper or louver.

Three Position Dribble Control

The Triac® Dribble Control package is a complete unit incorporating two integral solenoid valves within a specifically configured limit switch designed for dribble control. The dribble control package mounts directly to all Triac® pneumatic actuators without additional mounting hardware. Common Applications: Filling or metering vessels - By being able to reduce the flow rate at a given point during a filling operation. It is possible to more accurately and efficiently fill a vessel. Flow dampening - With the dribble control package, automated valves can be partially closed rapidly and then completely closed gradually. This dramatically reduces shock to pipes and valves.
